New Warship HMS Daring Damaged in Collision With Tug

The Royal Navy’s newest ship has been damaged after a collision with a tug in Southampton water. It has emerged that HMS Daring was being towed into Marchwood on Tuesday evening when it collided with a tug.

The 7,500-tonne destroyer, based in Portsmouth and commissioned last year, is now being examined by naval engineers. The ship was declared ready for action just last month.
